St.William School Mission Statement: We exist to provide a school environment in which Christ is encountered and discipleship is fostered through the teachings and practices of Catholic traditions, values and doctrine while challenging each student to academic excellence.
SOUL Program Vision : To offer an inclusionary learning environment that provides students the opportunity to learn using a modified or accommodate learning plan while providing a Catholic education which includes academic rigor, social interactions with peers, and the opportunity to grow in Gods great love.
Admissions Policy: Admissions into the SOUL program is based on availability of services indicated in an IEP, Service Plan, 504, or a battery of test results from a psychologist.
Our Admissions team will use these documents to evaluate our ability to provide the best learning environment for a student. The admission team consists of The Principal, Special Education teacher, Walled Lake Teacher Consultant, and classroom teacher. The team needs time to make a decision based on the right fit for each student this may take up three weeks before a decision is made.
Several factors are taken into consideration when admitting a new student in to the program which include:
The SOUL program at St. William does not provide the full extent of services that a public school is able to provide. Upon acceptance into the SOUL program parents agree to waiving an IEP plan for a Service Plan.
