St. William Catholic School is committed to academic excellence and using data to assist us in providing and implementing research based practices to meet the needs of all our students. In 2020 St William helped to pilot Renaissance STAR Computer Adaptive Assessment (CAA) in partnership with the Archdiocese of Detroit Catholic Schools. The results from the STAR testing were immediately used to place students in their own reading and math tracks and to gage growth in early literacy. These results provided the information teachers needed to engage students in instruction that would increase their skill levels and move them forward in their academic growth. During COVID these tests continued to be administered and used to place our students in above average rankings todate.
